The opposition to the arms sale to Saudi Arabia by the UK government has turned out to a public demand in the country.
Based on multiple reports, Saudi Arabia is committing war crimes of various kinds in Yemen by attacking public places, schools, hospitals, and killing children.

Besides, Saudi Arabia is one of the main countries supporting and promoting terrorism across the world. Documents released by WikiLeaks and Humanitarian organization show that the Saudi Monarchy is the primary founder and supporter of most terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS. According to a recent document released by al-Badil newspaper:

A leaked document in Qatar’s embassy and a letter to Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on October 26, 2016, show Mohammed bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed’s support for certain key al-Qaeda members in the Arabian Peninsula.

The UK has been the victim of terrorism in recent months with two separate attacks in London claimed by the ISIS. It is believed that the UK financial and military deals with Saudi Arabia has enabled the country to spread Wahhabis extremism inside the country.

A report on the investigation into “Saudi Arabia’s funding of Islamist extremism in Britain” has been made which has remained unreleased so far. A public poll by Independent shows that 64 percent of British people want the report to be published in full, indicating the significance of the saga to the public. Another report published by Henry Jackson Society clearly acknowledges the direct link between extremism and Saudi Arabia. As part of the report says:

Indications of the kind of influence that such funding can have… can be seen through the prevalence of Islamist extremist preachers and literature, including the use of Saudi school textbooks.

The public demand on the cut of financial and military ties with in UK occurs while the next G20 summit is planned to be held in Saudi Arabia. G20 countries asserted in Hamburg on the necessity to fight against terrorism while the next summit will be hosted by the country which Tom Wilson, the author of Henry Jackson Society report, describes “at the top of the list of extremist countries.”
