WHY DOES ISRAEL WANT TO "MATE" WITH THE EUROPEAN RIGHT?

par samir 22 Février 2019, 00:05

The meeting of the Prime Ministers of the Visegrad Group countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic) and Israel, scheduled for Tuesday in Jerusalem, failed due to the refusal of Poland to participate in it. As the head of the Czech government Andrei Babis, who is often called the “Czech Trump”, said, “only bilateral negotiations will take place”, and the summit “will not take place”.

Thus, among the participants of this truncated event there will not be Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetsky, who decided not to go to Israel after there was a faded scandal around the complicity of the Poles in the Holocaust broke out with a new force.

Polish-Israeli scandals about whether Poles participated in the Holocaust are becoming almost regular. Warsaw goes into hysterics at every mention of the involvement of the Poles in the Holocaust, because it fears that they will be forced to pay a fabulous sum for the exterminated Polish Jews. This passage can now be supplemented: Israeli politicians fall into hysterics if they do not like at least someone’s attitude to this tragedy.

Therefore, this time Poland is represented in Israel by its Foreign Minister Yacek Chaputovich. However, the rest of the leaders of the Visegrad countries arrived there. Because the discussion of how to preserve our nations in a globalizing and increasingly hostile world for right-wing and conservative values is extremely necessary, as is the question of the importance of cooperation between European right-wing and populists with the current Israeli authorities, which also have anti-liberal positions.

Why is it more difficult for the right to cooperate than for the left and the liberals?

The scandal that overshadowed this important event is another reminder of the fact that cooperation between right-wing conservatives and nationalists is much more complicated than agreement between liberals and leftists. Because the latter deny the tradition, history, national characteristics, preferring to them stillborn chimeras, in relation to which all their adherents are in the same, equal position in any country. The left and the liberals, rejoicing at the “end of history”, unlike the right, are one-dimensional, similar to each other, like twins. They are “internationalists”, and therefore it is much easier for them to negotiate, which is also greatly helped by the totalitarian, intolerant to other opinions, the spirit of their doctrine, the readiness to unquestioningly obey the global policy of the powerful, if it is draped as it should.

Traditionalists, rightists and conservatives, on the contrary, are all different, because they are rooted in the past, knowing the conflicts between the countries they represent. They are not always able to get rid of the old grievances, as the last Polish-Israeli scandal clearly demonstrated. Often, national identity itself, as in Poland itself, is based on hatred of neighboring nations, for example, Russians, thanks to which the Poles, having lost to them in a fair fight, survived as a nation (and the Germans would assimilate them) the state and re-gain it in the same century after the loss because of its stupidity. Conservative Poland and Russia, having crossed the mutual grievances of the past, could become the pillar of the traditional values of Europe today, but this, as we see, does not happen.

What unites the right in Europe and Israel?

Nevertheless, the process of uniting right-wing European forces with anti-liberal forces with like-minded people in Israel, though not smoothly, is gaining momentum. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not allow liberals and leftists to come to power and destroy Israel. In Europe, after decades of the power of liberals and leftists that almost put an end to it, right-wing and “populist” parties respecting conservative values are gaining momentum, as, for example, in Poland, Hungary, Austria. Asismic libertarian forces are also on the rise, also outraged by the EU's suicidal migration policy. The latter are represented, in particular, by the Freedom Party of Gert Wilders, which almost won the last parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, and partly by the 5-Star Movement, ruling Italy along with the right-wing League. Its leader Matteo Salvini, the current Israeli prime minister also calls "a true friend of Israel."

In addition to rejecting liberals and leftists, Israel and members of the Visegrad Group bring together the priority of "real politics" over "democratic ideals" and norms that are divorced from life. By themselves, these “ideals” are good, but not all countries “work” as they should, and in some cases are simply harmful. Especially if you are dealing with extremists, terrorists and fanatics. This is well understood by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orban, whom the former also considers "a true friend."

In addition, all participants in today's event in Jerusalem are united by the fear that Europe, as everyone knows, will not be there in a few generations, and some Islamic caliphate will arise in its place. European Jews, especially from France, are already fleeing in large numbers to Israel from becoming unbearable migrant anti-Semitism. On the way are Germany and a number of still rich European countries, where the main migration flows from Asia and Africa go, where radical Islam takes root, the first victims of which are Jews, and then the other “infidels”, especially if they are women.

What should be done to achieve success?

Therefore, the desire of like-minded people in Europe and Israel to cooperate and help each other in the fight against common enemies and threats is more than natural. It is on the agenda and will grow with the liberation of the European masses from left-liberal hypnosis, another milestone of which is expected to be the May elections to the European Parliament.

For their part, European friends of Israel among the right-wing, conservative and intelligent libertarians are in dire need of this country as an example to follow. They are impressed by democracy, which is able to protect its interests, knows how to deal with enemies. Therefore, when the desire to cooperate is on both sides, it will develop.

However, in order for it to develop faster, the parties should show tolerance and respect for each other, refrain from - in the face of a common and much more serious threat - focus on the ugly pages of the past, from which, by the way, correct conclusions have already been drawn.

Especially important role in this should belong to Israel and the Israelis. Yes, it is very psychologically difficult for them for obvious reasons. But if in Israel it is less accusing the Poles of “involvement” in the Holocaust, and Hungarians in “anti-Semitism” and if they do not demand from potential European allies that they reconsider their attitude to one or another of their historical figures and heroes, it’s only will benefit all. After all, globalism and Islamism are much more terrible enemies than the ghosts of the past.
